DETAILED EVENT AND TRIP OVERVIEWS WITH ROUTE INFORMATION AND LINKS
SWIFT CAMPOUTS - TWO CHOICES!
JUNE 21-22
For June, we're not leading our own ride but supporting two Front Range Swift Campouts, one in Boulder and one in Fort Collins (our trip was planned for Red Feather Lakes on the same day originally).
BOULDER (Treehouse Cyclery)
Alyssa from Treehouse will be leading a 36 mile, mixed terrain route to the famed Switzerland Trail for the night. The foothills of Boulder are a fantastic opportunity for an approachable (but not easy in elevation!) overnighter.
Check out details on the event page.
FORT COLLINS (Road 34 Bike Shop)
Max and Quin from Road 34 Bike Shop in Fort Collins are leading a longer ride option to the beautiful Buckhorn Road for a dispersed campout. If you're in the FoCo area, or interested in a great ride in the area this is a good one!
ROLLINS PASS (STARTING IN BLACK HAWK OR NEDERLAND)
JULY 26-27
July’s overnighter is all about big climbs and remote roads at the famed Rollins Pass.
🔹 Rollins Pass is a classic Front Range ride that everyone needs to check out at least once. A rugged dirt road strewn with rocks, incredible views and an unforgettable experience. We'll start in either Black Hawk or Nederland, ride up the pass and set up camp before making a final ascent to the summit with a lighter set up. Final details coming soon—get your climbing legs ready! 🚵♂️🏕️🌲
Ideal bike: Hardtail MTB, possible on a gravel bike with some hike a bike
Approximate distance: TBD
Route GPS TBD
COLORADO TRAIL SEGMENT SMASH
DATES: AUGUST 16-23
August will venture slightly beyond the Front Range into the Collegiates. We're going to tackle segments 1-8 over a week in August. This will be a restricted group size purely due to logistical difficulty with large groups on a ride of this scale.
More details to come, contact us if you're seriously interested in attending.
BIKEPACKING ROOTS MOUNTAIN WEST SUMMIT
DATES: SEPTEMBER 12-15
For September, we'll be helping out/hanging out at the Bikepacking Roots Mountain West Summit which will be held at Rustic Creek Ranch in the heart of the Buffalo Creek Recreation area. This event will bring together bikepackers from all over the region (100-150 people) to celebrate everything bikepacking including speakers, clinics, day-rides and overnight trips from base camp.
More details to come, but put this one on the calendar!
GOLD CAMP ROAD TO VICTOR
DATES: OCTOBER 3-4
For October, we'll be rolling the dice and heading up Gold Camp Road to a private camp ground in Victor, CO. We'll start in Colorado Springs and head of the famed Gold Camp Road to camp by a lake in a private camp ground. We'll turn it back around the next morning and hit some singletrack on the way back down to COS (feel free to take the road all the way down).
Ideal bike: Hardtail MTB for maximum fun, a gravel bike will work if you skip the singletrack
Approximate distance: 65-75 miles
